Butterscotch Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour, heaping
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 c milk
  • lump of butter
  • 2 prepared pie crusts

Instructions

  • Set milk on stove to heat.
  • Stir the flour and sugar together, moisten well with milk in water.
  • Add the beaten yolks to the flour, sugar, and milk mixture.
  • Add butter to the milk to melt.
  • Add sugar and flour mixture to milk and stir until thick.
  • Pour into pie tins.
  • Spread the beaten egg whites with a little added sugar over the top and bake at 300 for about 25 min until brown.
