Ingredients
- 2 c cornmeal
- 5 tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 c milk
- ½ c boiling water
Instructions
- Pour boiling water over cornmeal and let stand until cool.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Beat eggs until light and add them to cornmeal.
- Then add milk, flour, and melted better.
- Beat until batter is smooth.
- Pour into a shallow, well-greased pan and bake at 400-450° for 25 minutes.
