Ingredients
- ½ c butter
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 2 c flour
- 5 tsp baking powder
- 4 squares melted chocolate
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Cream butter, add 1/2 of sugar gradually.
- Beat egg yolks, cream in remaining sugar.
- Combine both mixtures and add melted chocolate.
- Beat thoroughly.
- Sift dry ingredients together and alternate with milk, adding to first mixture. Add vanilla.
- Beat egg whites stuff and dry with wire whip. Fold carefully into first mixture.
- Cook at 350° for 20-25 minutes in 3 9" cake pans.
