Ingredients
- 2 c margarine softened
- ¾ c firmly packed light brown sugar
- ¾ c granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp water
- 2 medium eggs
- 2½ c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 c raisins
- 1 pkg, 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Beat softened margarine, brown, and white sugars, vanilla, water, and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy and thoroughly blended.
- By hand, stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until well mixed.
- Stir in raisins and chocolate chips.
- Using teaspoon from measuring set, spoon dough by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
- Allow 1 to 1½ inches between cookies for spreading.
- Back at 375° for 8 minutes or until cookies are nicely browned.
