Kay's Tombstone Fudge Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 squares of chocolate, baker's chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate and butter.
  • Stir in the milk and bring to a boil.
  • Add in the sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  • Heat until at the softball stage.
  • Pour out onto a marble slab for cooling. Alternatively, lay out on parchment paper.
  • Cut and serve.

Notes

This is a real recipe. Kay lived in Utah and died in 2019 at the age of 97. The photo that I included was the original one put on the tombstone. However, there was a typo on the amount of vanilla. It was later corrected to 1 tsp instead of 1 Tbsp. Here is the updated tombstone:
