Luncheon Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • ½ c celery, thick-cut
  • ½ c onion, sliced
  • 1 8 oz can drained water chestnuts, sliced
  • ½ c green pepper, chopped
  • 1 10 oz pkg frozen peas, cooked and drained
  • 2 c cooked chicken, diced
  • c mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • c colby or cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices cooked bacon

Instructions

  • In a 13"x9" pan, layer all ingredients in order listed, crumbling bacon over top.
  • Cover with foil or plastic wrap.
  • Chill at least eight hours.
  • When ready to serve, cut in t0 3" squares.
