Ingredients

Cake batter

  • 8 1¾ ozs Milk Way candy bars
  • c butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 eggs well beaten
  • c flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • c buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c pecans
  • powdered sugar

Icing

  • c sugar
  • 1 c evaporated milk
  • ½ c butter
  • 1 c marshmallow cream
  • 1 16 oz pkg chocolate chips
  • 1 c pecans, chopped

Instructions

Cake

  • Melt Milky Way bars with 1/2 c butter and cool.
  • Cream remaining butter with sugar and to it add beaten eggs to cooled chocolate mixture.
  • Sift flour and baking soda together.
  • Alternately add flour, butter, Milky Way batter.
  • Add vanilla extract and pecans.
  • Grease 3 9" cake pans and dust with powdered sugar.
  • Bake at 325° for 30-45 min.

Icing

  • Combine sugar and milk. Cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat.
  • Add butter, marshmallow cream, and chocolate chips, stirring until all have melted.
  • Stir in pecans. Frost between layers and on top.

Notes

Can be cooked in an oblong pan and not in layers.
