Ingredients
Cake batter
- 8 1¾ ozs Milk Way candy bars
- 1½ c butter
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs well beaten
- 2½ c flour
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 1¼ c buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 c pecans
- powdered sugar
Icing
- 2½ c sugar
- 1 c evaporated milk
- ½ c butter
- 1 c marshmallow cream
- 1 16 oz pkg chocolate chips
- 1 c pecans, chopped
Instructions
Cake
- Melt Milky Way bars with 1/2 c butter and cool.
- Cream remaining butter with sugar and to it add beaten eggs to cooled chocolate mixture.
- Sift flour and baking soda together.
- Alternately add flour, butter, Milky Way batter.
- Add vanilla extract and pecans.
- Grease 3 9" cake pans and dust with powdered sugar.
- Bake at 325° for 30-45 min.
Icing
- Combine sugar and milk. Cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat.
- Add butter, marshmallow cream, and chocolate chips, stirring until all have melted.
- Stir in pecans. Frost between layers and on top.
Notes
Can be cooked in an oblong pan and not in layers.
