Ingredients
Cake
- 1 ¼ c boiling water
- 1 c dry quick oats
- ¼ c butter, creamed
- 1 c brown sugar, packed
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Topping
- ⅓ c milk
- ¼ c flour
- ½ c brown sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 1 c coconut
- ½ c chopped nuts
Instructions
- Pour 1 1/4 c boiling water over 1 c dry quick oats.
- Let stand for 20 min.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar.
- Add eggs, flour, salt, vanilla, baking soda, and cinnamon.
- Bake in 13" x 9" pan a 350° for approx. 30 min or until knife comes out clean.
- Topping:
- Mix and pour topping ingredients over cake and brown under broiler.
