Ingredients
- 1 1lb 4oz can crushed pineapple , drain and reserve juice
- 1 1lb 4oz can apricots, drained and cut, reserve juice
- 2 3 oz pkg orange gelatin
- 2 c hot water
- 1 c miniature marshmallows
- 5 tbsp flour
- ½ c sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ c whipping cream, whipped
- grated American cheese
Instructions
- Combine apricots and pineapple.
- Add 1 c of either the pineapple OR apricot juice from the can and stir well.
- Add marshmallows and let set until firm.
- In another bowl, combine 1 c of pineapple or apricot juice (or half and half), flour, and sugar.
- Mix well and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and beat in 1 egg; let cool.
- Fold in whipped cream and spoon over salad.
- Sprinkle with grated American cheese.
