I actually didn’t really like this recipe when I was a kid. My mother made it on occasion. I haven’t tried making it as an adult, but think that I would actually like it at this point.

But this is a traditional Christmas dessert in my family. It requires a DOZEN eggs. When it bakes, it ends up with a nice crunchy coating. It is covered with whipped cream.
