Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 c chopped onion
- 2 c sliced fresh mushrooms, or two 4 oz cans
- 2 peppers, sliced or chopped, any color, but I prefer red, yellow, or orange
- 1 can 28oz diced tomatoes
- 4 c beef broth
- 1½ c sliced pepperoni, or 1 bag of mini pepperonis
- 4 tsp basil
- 4 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp garlic powder, or sub minced garlic
Instructions
- Cook sausage, ground beef, and onion together.
- Transfer meat and onion to pot.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender and soup is hot.
- Garnish with mozzarella and/or parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
