Porcupine Balls (Rice Meatballs)

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ c quick-cook rice
  • ½ c water
  • c onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp celery salt
  • tsp garlic powder
  • tsp dash pepper

Sauce

  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 c water
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Combine meatball ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Shape meat mixture into 1 1/2 balls. 
  • In large skillet, brown meatballs in oil. 
  • Add sauce mixture and simmer on low for 1 hour.
