Ingredients
Cake
- ½ c buttermilk
- ¾ c brown sugar
- ¾ c sugar
- 1 c vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c cooked and mashed prunes, or 2 cans prunes
Topping
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c sugar
- ½ c buttermilk
- ½ tsp baking soda
Instructions
Cake
- Blend all ingredients in a mixer until well blended at medium speed.
- Bake in greased and floured, 9"x13" pan at 350° for 35-50 min. As soon as cake is taken from oven, cut into squares
Topping
- Bring to a boil and pour over hot cake.
