Sourdough Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 c lukewarm water
  • 2 c buttermilk
  • ½ c sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ½ c oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 5 c flour

Instructions

  • Dissolve 1 pkg dry yeast in 1 c lukewarm water. Add buttermilk, sugar, baking powder, oil, salt, and baking soda.
  • Add 6 (or more) c flour, mix well.
  • Cover and chill for at least 4 hours before using.
  • Pinch off and bake on greased cookie sheet. No need to let rise.
  • Bake at 375° for about 20 minutes.
