Chocolate Caramel Brownies

14 oz bag caramels
? c evaporated milk

pkg German chocolate cake mix

melted butter

6 oz pkg chocolate chips

chopped pecans
Instructions
Combine caramels and 1/3 c evaporated milk. Cover and melt. Keep warm.
Combine cake mix, butter, and evaporated milk. Beat 2 minutes.
Spread half of mixture in greased 9"x13" pan.
Bake at 350° for 15 min, then cool for 2 minutes.
Spread caramel mixture over cake, sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Stir ½ c nuts into batter and drop by spoonfuls over. Sprinkle remaining nuts.
Bake 18 minutes.
Cool and cut.
