Ingredients

eggs

flour

tsp
anise oil
½
tsp
anise seed
½
tsp
baking powder

powdered sugar
Instructions
Beat eggs 10 minutes with electric beater.
Gradually add powdered sugar.
Continue to beat and add baking powder to flour.
Fold in flower and baking powder.
Add anise oil and anise seed.
Roll out on a lightly floured board to about 1/3-1/2" thick.
Sprinkle generously with flour and press with springerle rolling pin.
Cut cake into squares, brushing off any extra flour, and place on baking sheet to dry out for 12-24 hours.
Bake on fully greased backing sheet at 300° for 15-20 min.
They should turn faintly yellow.
