Rainbow Cake (or Cupcakes)
Ingredients
Cake
- White cake mix mixed according to package directions
Rainbow Coloring
- Purple = 9 drops red 6 blue
- Blue = 12 drops
- Green = 12 drops
- Yellow = 12 drops
- Orange = 12 drops yellow 4 drops red
- Red = 18 drops
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to the box directions.
- Separate the cake mix into separate bowls (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple).
- Add food coloring to each bowl following and add food coloring.
- For each, gently spread cake mix to cover previous layer, gently so as not to mix the color below.
Cake
- 1st pan = yellow, orange, then red
- 2nd pan = purple, blue, then green
Cupcakes
- Layer each paper-lined cupcake tin enough to cover bottom of tin.
