Soft Gingerbread

Ingredients

shortening

brown sugar

molasses

sour milk/sour cream

baking soda

Instructions
Cream the shortening.
Add sugar slowly, creaming all the time.
Add the well beaten egg and molasses.
Beat until light color.
Sift dry ingredients together, including soda.
Add them alternately with milk to finish mixture.
Beat well and bake at 375° for approximately 25 minutes or until knife come out clean.(There was no baking time with this recipe, so I had to make a guess.)
