Sour Cream Rhubarb Squares

sour cream

rhubarb cut into 1/2" pieces
Instructions
Topping: mix sugar, nuts, butter, and cinnamon till crumbly and set aside.
Cream together brown sugar, shortening, and egg.
Thoroughly stir together flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed sugar/shortening mixture and add sour cream.
Stir in rhubarb and put into greased and floured 13 x 9 pan. Sprinkle with reserved topping.
Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes.
Serve warm or cool.
