This white icing is known as "Sticky" Icing in our family, but others call it 7-Minute Frosting. We typically use it on chocolate cake, but it can be used for many different types of cakes.

Optional: vanilla
Instructions
Cook the ingredients to soft ball stage in a saucepan.
Pour the hot ingredients into 2 beaten egg whites (stiff peaks) and beat until well blended.
